Kill Tony #789 - Tim Butterly and Kirk Fox watch a rough bucket night turn into a Golden Ticket, with a rat under a chef's hat helping change everything. 1. Kirk Fox changes his flight to stay for the show and jokes about getting the $300 back. Tony guesses somewhere around his 15th to 18th visit, while our archive actually lists 21 panel appearances through this episode, going back to #21. Tim Butterly has seven listed panel visits, starting with #716. Two different stretches of show history meet at the same desk. 2. Uncle G says retirement has become being repurposed because comedy keeps sending him places. Even the question of what the G stands for takes a detour: he eventually says Greg, then Tony treats unclegcomedy.com as the answer. His repeated 27 motif also becomes a panel callback before the first bucket pull arrives. 3. The accent handoff is unusually neat. Bobby explains that his fake accent was meant as a callback to his previous appearance, and the next guest set is Colum Tyrrell with an actual Irish accent. Later, Colum has to spell his first name: C O L U M, one L. The episode supplies its own contrast. 4. Pedro Franco describes his first visit as the start of a bigger opportunity: Brazilian comics contacted him, he opened for one of them, and he says that helped lead to a visa. Our archive lists him on #663. Here, he says this is his second visit, recovers from the Harry Potter premise with the Brazil scam-call joke, and ends up explaining his 6-foot-7 dating-profile photo under a 6-foot-6 clearance sign. 5. Tony Pepperoni's return keeps revealing new layers. He breaks character, tries Joey Macaroni, and finally removes the chef's hat to reveal a rat underneath. He says he did not have it on his first visit, which our archive lists as #730, and Tony realizes they nearly finished this interview without discovering it. Emergency mustaches, a Secret Show invitation and an actual Golden Ticket follow. The award starts at 1:00:14 below. 6. Dedrick Flynn's charger material turns into a real back-and-forth with Tony. Tony explains his routine of topping his phone back up before going out, and Dedrick answers that Tony has mainly described having an easier life. His seat 37F perspective gives the charging discussion a very different angle. 7. Ali Musa says reviewing Bad Black brought him more requests from Ugandan filmmakers, and Tim immediately pitches the recurring-segment pun Uganda, check this out. Then Tony makes a much stranger successful guess: Ali confirms he uses a beach towel after showering. The interview also connects Ali and Tim through the Gathering of the Juggalos. 8. Pat O'Neil supplies the Halloween closer, which Tony compares to a pumpkin spice latte. Tim then imagines buying a $200 Pat lawn ornament at the hardware store to unsettle the neighborhood. By the end of the interview, Pat confirms Halloween is his favorite time of year. The decoration is a joke; the seasonal commitment is clear.
